POSITION: Technical Architect for Search
EXP: 12 + YEARS
LOCATION: PUNE
The ideal candidate will have Masters/Ph D in computer Science with at-least 8 years of experience in Search with particular emphasis on Apache Lucene.
Search is a offering that broadens user adoption, helping to unlock the potential of BI investment and enable better decision-making. It allows faster and easier access to most relevant reports and analytics and improves user efficiency and satisfaction with existing BI solution.
The Challenge
-Improve performance and scalability of product – particularly when dealing with very large content
-Extend the product to cover off the entire Product portfolio
-Work with other product teams to help identify areas where data collected by search can be used to enhance the end-user experience and grow their usage of the product.
-Seek new ways to present the results and allow the end-user to zero in on the best possible match
-Tap into available resources to find content that user may be interested in, for example: tapping into organizational hierarchy to understand what peers, superiors and colleagues are interested in
-Drive innovation in search analytics in the BI space by providing thought leadership with disruptive paradigms.
Technical Skills:
-A dynamic individual passionate about search analytics
-Strong Java skills with proven expertise on performance and scalability
(and by extension multi-threaded development)
-Solid troubleshooting and problem solving skills
-Solid understanding of Lucene and full-text indexing/searching
technologies
Good to have skills:
-Solid understanding of OLAP, relational and data modeling
-Good understanding of web services: SOAP, XML, WSDL, Axis
-Good understanding of Atom/REST a definite asset
-A proven background of technical achievements/recognition.
