Position  : SAP Technical Architect

Description

To take responsibility for ensuring that the SAP Technical solution is designed and documented to support the processes and delivers the technical benefits. The role includes:

• Define the technical standards and decisions adopted as the basis of the technical solution, using the Architecture Decisions deliverable as defined by UMF deliverables
• Own the Component and Operational Models in line with the standards as defined by UMF deliverables
• Own the delivery the Technical Documentation as defined by the Complex SI method with reference to the UMF deliverables
• Set out the compliance standards for all components of the overall solution – ensure that products are assessed in relation to these standards.
• Set up and run the Technical Design Authority in accordance with the DA Handbook practices
• Managing the team of SAP SME’s covering the technical scope of the solution;
  • Infrastructure including Network, Storage, Servers, System Management

• Local Government expertise preferred though not mandatory
• Good understanding of current profession and industry best practices, specifically the use of the Reference Architecture for SAP (RA4SAP)
• Ability to lead a team and providing the necessary status updates to Project Management
• Excellent client relationship skills, experience of working with senior stakeholders
• Ability to run meetings/workshops
• Excellent team player, with strong oral and written communication skills
• The ability to make decisions and implement actions to tight time constraints
