The Manager position offers challenging responsibilities for professionals trained in the field of modeling and managing natural catastrophe risk. The main responsibilities include managing clients and managing a team of catastrophe risk analysts involved in preparing catastrophe model exposure data and quantifying natural catastrophe risk based on commercial catastrophe modeling software. This challenging position requires strong team and client management skills, analytical skills, enthusiasm for the use of computer-based models, attention to detail and superior communication skills.
Your responsibilities would be:
Recruit, train and supervise a team of catastrophe risk analysts. Assist employees in their development, establish goals, measure and manage performance.
Plan, organize, prioritize and schedule multiple projects and ensure timely delivery of projects of superior quality. Manage resources effectively and ensure optimal use of available capacity.
Assist in improving effectiveness and efficiency of operations by process automations and streamlining processes.
Assist the Managing Director and Aon Re brokers in catastrophe risk assessment and risk management consulting for Aon Re clients.
Analyze portfolio risks using catastrophe models.
Prepare property insurance policy data for catastrophe risk analysis using relational database and data conversion tools.
Develop and use proprietary software to design and manage catastrophe reinsurance programs.
Respond to brokers, clients, and re-insurers on issues relating to risk analysis.
Provide real-time loss estimates of actual catastrophic events.
Assist clients in the understanding of catastrophe risks, sensitivity studies, and added analytics.
Experience
in running catastrophe models such as RiskLink, Clasic2, EQE WorldCat
enterprise. Must have demonstrated proficiency in the usage of at least one of
these models.
Over one year of experience in managing medium to large catastrophe modeling
projects for an insurance/reinsurance company, consulting firm or a reinsurance
broker.
Proficiency in the use of MS office. Knowledge of MS Access, and MS SQL will be
an advantage.
Excellent spoken and written communication skills, good team management skills,
planning and organizing skills are a must.
