Recently, fraud of unprecedented proportions has been reported. The perception of investors about disclosure and corporate governance standards is surely at a all time low. Employee morale is also bad. How should we look at careers and work life at Satyam now?

Great Organization

idea posted by Janardhan Kumar K SAP BW/BI Consultant, Satyam Computers Services Ltd

I have been working with satyam for 3 years. Its truly a great organization. The kind of expertise it has in different domains is really great and cant be ignored. Just because of a person to blame the entire ogranization isnt fair, probably media need to learn a point on this. I joined this organization after my B tech, and its a great experience. Lot of internal trainings, external trainings, career building programms. perosnally i got chance to complete certification in both 3.5 & bi 7 that too sponsored by Satyam only. What else a employee want with a gud pay and gud career in front of him. Obviously the recent incidents have been bad. in panic some clients will move, some will try to move. but the ability to serve the clients with added value is, has & will always been there with satyam.

I feel  Satyam has got its brand reputation still throughout the world.

Firstly, we should feel very haughty to have big companies even at India, which wud help directly and indirectly increase our India's GDP to increase.

My personal exp with Satyam is, I am working for Satyam since from 3 years, the most appreciable thing is that, there was a lot of flexibility in moving to the technology as desired,if one is vey much ardent to achive.

There are hiccups now, but the entire Mkt is travelling in a wrecked ship.

Ardently believe that Satyam would recover its Good Days again.

I completely agree with you janardhan. Just because of one person you can't blame the entire organisation & deemed it as a fraud company.Iam sure that satyam will come out of this bad time and there are many positive things that are associated with satyam which we should never forget.

I support Janardan.

This is business and there can not be any emotion in Business.

This are emotional thoughts that some one committed fraud so every efforts should be made to stop the company. Quit such thoughts because they are signs of immaturity, Understand business.

LOL--This organization is not Pakistan for god sake.

This is an organization that is not built by Ramalinga Raju but by the efforts of millions of employees who are either with the company or might have left long back. This company is a flag bearer and have many times pronounced India's greatness to the world.

If you start today from scratch, you wont be able to create another company as big as Satyam.

Fall of satyam will pull Indian software Industry 10 years back and will stop recruitment of fresher for at least 2 years and that will be disaster.

In the end I would request you to go through the organizational structure of Satyam and you will be amazed to see the expertise in so many fields, It's unbelievable.

This is a true blue chip company of International repute and I will give you a good news that it is still winning contracts and will continue to contribute to India being an True Indian company.

I might not be there in Satyam for whole of my career but I will continue to respect the efforts put by people to create such a Giant that shows the MIGHT of Indian software firms.

I always support India based companies because they count on India and India count on them.

I think that continues learning has been the biggest asset of Sayam..... and this is evident from the kind of recognition it has got in terms of training it has got eg ASTD. Satyam was given this award even after the fraud was in public.

The point that im trying to make is of continues devlopment and this is where Satyam has an advantage over its peers.

Satyam is a good company to build your career. You get to improve your personality in all the fronts. You get good opportunities if you perform well. Management tries to keep you happy if you are performing well. You are offered to attend different training programs

Strong business fundamentals

idea posted by Sunita Singh HR Manager, Cranes Software

The impact on business is going to be there becauause of corporate goverenance and recession issues. But the capability to service so many clients in such a large manner is not what can be taken away. Also leadership in several practice areas like SAP implementation is here to stay.
