SG CIB established its presence in India in 1978, first with a representative office in New Delhi and then with a branch office in Mumbai - India's financial centre - as from 1985. SG CIB opened a second branch in New Delhi in 1993.

SG CIB India ensures international quality and the highest standards in its dealings with clients, which include top-tier Indian corporates, MNCs, and foreign and local banks.

With a dedicated team of 70 people, all commercial transactions are carried out efficiently and effectively on debt capital markets, structured finance, fixed income, currencies, derivatives, forex options and Interest rate derivatives (including exotics in non-INR currencies, vanilla INR forex options/interest rate derivatives), payment services, trade services, cash & clearing services in EUR, USD, JPY and CHF.
